When given a cone of incense, this two-headed, fanged serpent breathes smoke! Two-headed snakes are a rare and magical phenomenon in nature.
The base of the smoker was thrown on the pottery wheel with two balls of black, stoneware clay. Once firm enough to work with, the snake was attached and sculpted. At the perfect stage of dryness, the serpent was brought to life with details.
After slow drying for a couple weeks, this piece journeyed through its first firing in the kiln then a second after being glazed.
The serpent is wrapping around two clusters of AAA+ clear quartz that bathed in the healing light of the full moon. The outside of the smoker is coated in a matte glaze, the inside is coated in a glossy glaze.
The serpent symbolizes surrender, release, death and rebirth. In order to survive, serpents must routinely shed what keeps them from growing and no longer serves. Serpent energy is an empowering and comforting ally to lean on in times of transition and uncertainty.
*Discounted due to crack at the top of the smoker where the snake joins. Crack goes all the way through, a small amount of smoke travels through it when in use, but it does not inhibit the function- both serpent heads still smoke.
