Opal of My Eye Serpent Mug

 A minimalist vessel for your most beloved beverages. Ideal for the right-handed drinker.

This mug emerged from a ball of golden stoneware clay that was thrown on the pottery wheel. Once firm enough to work, it was trimmed and joined with a hand-sculpted, serpent handle. After slowly drying it was fired in the kiln, coated in a glossy glaze and fired again. The serpents eyes are genuine opals that bathed in the healing light of the full moon.

The serpent symbolizes surrender, release, death and rebirth. In order to survive, serpents must routinely shed what keeps them from growing and no longer serves. Serpent energy is an empowering and comforting ally to lean on in times of transition and uncertainty.
