Gatherer Gecko Smoker

5 Year Anniversary Edition Piece

When given a lit cone of incense or choice of cleansing medicine, the gecko breathes smoke!

The base of the smoker was thrown on the wheel with white, stoneware clay. Then it was joined with a hand-sculpted gecko surrounded by fungi and moss. After slowly drying it was fired in the kiln then painted in vibrant colors and fired again.

The gecko is crowned with a faceted, moonstone teardrop that bathed in the healing light of the super full moon October 17th. 

Geckos and lizards have the ability to regrow their tails, thus they symbolize regeneration. Like snakes, lizards also shed their skin, and show us that letting go of what no longer serves us is necessary to thrive. Call on healing gecko energy after a trial or trying event that has left you feeling frayed or damaged.
