A woodsy vessel for your most beloved beverages. Ideal for the left-handed drinker.
This mug emerged from a ball of brown, speckled clay that was thrown on the pottery wheel. Once firm enough to work, it was trimmed and joined with a hand-sculpted, serpent handle. The serpent is slithering through wood-grain carvings and fungi clusters.
After slowly drying it was fired in the kiln, coated in a glossy glaze and fired again.
The serpent symbolizes surrender, release, death and rebirth. In order to survive, serpents must routinely shed what keeps them from growing and no longer serves. Serpent energy is an empowering and comforting ally to lean on in times of transition and uncertainty.
