A calming, versatile piece to bring a little celebration of nature wherever it’s placed.
The tray was thrown on the wheel with red stoneware clay. After it was trimmed and firm enough the work, a hand-sculpted serpent was attached and surrounded by fungi. Then it was slowly dried and fired twice in the kiln.
The outside of the tray is exposed, raw clay. The mushrooms and moss are coated in various glossy glazes. The serpent is clutching a cluster of AAA+ clear quartz that was bathed in the healing light of the full moon.
This tray has a hole in the center to hold stick incense and four spaces to prop and catch the ash of rolled herbs.
