The hand-sculpted serpent beholds three glowing opals. Its body is coated in a smooth, shiny glaze and slithers towards a precious 22 carat gold crescent moon.
This mug was thrown on the pottery wheel with black stoneware clay. It was slowly dried, glazed and fired in the kiln three times.
The serpent symbolizes surrender, release, death and rebirth. In order to survive, serpents must routinely shed what keeps them from growing and no longer serves. Serpent energy is an empowering and comforting ally to lean on in times of transition and uncertainty.
