A stunning, monochromatic mug inspired by the natural beauty of the wild.
The mug body was thrown on the pottery wheel with a ball of white stoneware clay, then joined with a handcrafted serpent handle. The serpent was nestled into sculpted mushrooms and moss then left to dry slowly. It was glazed and fired in the kiln twice.
The outside of the mug is exposed, raw clay. The inside is coated in glossy, glass-like glaze. The mushrooms feature different glaze finishes.
The serpent symbolizes surrender, release, death and rebirth. In order to survive, serpents must routinely shed what keeps them from growing and no longer serves. Serpent energy is an empowering and comforting ally to lean on in times of transition and uncertainty.
Dimensions:
Holds 15 ounces | 420 milliliters
3.75 inches | 10 centimeters tall
5.5 inches | 13.5 centimeters wide (including handle)
