This mug emerged from a ball of rich, golden stoneware clay that was thrown on the pottery wheel. Once firm enough to work, it was trimmed and joined with a hand-sculpted serpent handle, mushrooms and psychedelic swirls.
After slowly drying it was fired in the kiln, finished with glazes and fired twice more. The serpents eyes are genuine moonstones that bathed in the healing light of the full moon. The mug is detailed with precious 22 karat gold adornments.
The serpent symbolizes surrender, release, death and rebirth. In order to survive, serpents must routinely shed what keeps them from growing and no longer serves. Serpent energy is an empowering and comforting ally to lean on in times of transition and uncertainty.
