This vessel is the perfect companion for tea, coffee or cacao lovers.
The mug body was thrown on the pottery wheel with a ball of white, speckled stoneware clay, then joined with a handcrafted serpent handle. It was left to slowly dry before being fired twice in the kiln.
The outside of the mug is exposed, raw clay. The inside and serpent are coated in glossy, glass-like glaze.
The serpent symbolizes surrender, release, death and rebirth. In order to survive, serpents must routinely shed what keeps them from growing and no longer serves. Serpent energy is an empowering and comforting ally to lean on in times of transition and uncertainty.
