When given a lit cone of incense or choice of cleansing medicine, Earth Mama Elephant smokes from her trunk! One of the artists favorites of this collection.
Earth Mama started as a ball of black stoneware clay that was pinched and coiled to shape. Her features were gradually added on over a couple days then she was slowly dried. She journeyed in the kiln twice and was coated in various glazes to bring her to life.
Earth Mama’s third eye is crowned with a genuine rainbow moonstone that glows in the light.
The skin of the elephant is exposed, raw clay. The inside is coated in glossy glaze and the mushrooms feature a handful of different glass-like glazes.
